8 things you'll know if you - *gasp* - prefer King to Tayto
THE STRONGEST RIVALRY in Ireland isn’t a sporting one. It isn’t a political one. It’s Tayto vs King.
Sure, they’re made by the same brand (Largo Foods) at the end of the day, but you can taste the difference. And if you’re a King person, you’ll know these things.
1. It’s tough being the underdog
Tayto are the famous ones, the beloved ones, the ones with their own mascot and theme park. But King have the FLAVOUR.
2. But you believe there’s no such thing as a disappointing bag of King
You’ve had plenty of sad bags of Tayto though. Plenty.
3. You’re actually ticked off if someone gets you Tayto instead

It’s not that you’ll make a fuss or whatever, but you’ll be secretly disappointed.
4. You wonder why more pubs don’t stock them
King with a pint > Tayto with a pint. It’s a damn conspiracy!
5. And you’ve had disagreements with family and friends over your stance
As if you’d back down to preserve a little friendship. Ugh.
6. You like not having to eat a whole pack of chewing gum after having some King
They’re less pungent than Tayto. Some might say that’s a bad thing, but your friends and colleagues thank you.
7. They have the celebrity seal of approval

Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer and Conor McGregor are among those who prefer the taste of King. And they’re right too.
8. And – here’s the most controversial part – you think they’re better in crisp sandwiches than Tayto
Oh yeah, Tayto gets the crisp sandwich pop up shops and the Aer Lingus promotion, but you know the truth. King fo’ LIFE!
